After owning this wonderful truck for about 9 1/2 years, it was finally time to sell. We had sold off our lake lot a few months ago and along with that our 33' Airstream Argosy trailer and then a month later we sold our 1999 Sport Nautique boat. Without the lake, trailer or boat, I finally decided the truck could also go. After all, a 14 year old truck in the midwest will start to rust and need money dumped into it, so it had to go. I had just replaced the rear axel seal and brakes before the guy picked it up. This truck ended up costing me only about $500 a year in depreciation a year to own. Can't say that about too many vehicles these days. It also felt good to be able to get rid of all that stuff we had accumulated.
So what did I decide to replace it with? I wanted something for a good price, good gas milage and something I liked to look at and enjoy driving... so a new 2013 Corolla Special Edition S is what I ended up with. I already got the windows tinted and I've been pretty happy with it so far. Love the color too (hot lava).
